STACK-O-BOT
ROLE
Designer
DESCRIPTION
Stock-O-Bot is a learning-based sandbox that we used to learn the fundamental basics of Unreal Engine. The project was a month-long, short project. Full Sail Students had to create a small maze, add a trap to play through the maze, and try to avoid the traps.

Information about Design
My latest project is a maze game built on the Unreal Engine. Players must navigate through challenging levels filled with spike traps and other obstacles. With the help of a Jet Pack, Health bar, Fuel bar, and SFX, players can collect fuel item pickups and avoid danger. During my development process, I focused on improving my design skills and gaining new knowledge in debugging, map levels, editing, and creation of parent and child blueprints.
-
Implaing obstacle to deal damage
-
creating blueprint classes with the use of parent and child
-
item pick up
-
Landscape mode on Unreal Engine to create a hole in the ground
-

What When Right?
Learning The System
So, within the first stage of the design process, we all had to learn and understand the system we were to use for the class. Unreal Engin was simple to you and easy to complete the assignment. In the image, we had to add a time stamp to our design. It never took me too long to apply to the design. I was later on that provided a challenge.
Document Request of Game Design
In the game design process, our goal was to create documentation of our work over the course of four weeks. At this stage, we had to achieve the following information, which is shown in the PDF Document above, as we moved forward with the design process.
What Went Wrong?
How was it Fixed?
The Hole in the Ground
For this assignment, we had to take the Stock-O-Bot sandbox and create an elevator and a magic hole in the ground. I had some issues with the process of creating this design. First, I was trying to create a hole in the ground. I had to try this step many times just to get the process steps right, and each time, I had a different outcome. But by the end, I was able to solve the problem at hand.
Next happened to be the elevator. I was creating the elevator, following each step to the point. But for some odd reason, the elevator would go all the way down and disappear, and I would have to have the bot jump off the platform just to make it work.
I'm still working on fixing that, but I seem to be having problems.
