Epic Quest is just the stand-in title since I plan to change that with a better title. But with the design, I will be creating a full beta game by using everything that I have learned throughout the courses and study at Full Sails. I will also do some research and watch videos on YouTube to be able to create something to show my process.

Information about Design

Introducing the recent project, Epic Quest! It is an RPG Strategy game. This game will follow the player's quest to save their move kingdom from the crown prince, destroying the kingdoms and everything around them. You will learn that the spirits have chosen you to overcome this great quest. At the story's beginning, you live and study Alchemist under your mother’s wings. At the same time, your father is the knight captain training your older brother and sister. One day, you go out to collect herbs when you come up face to face with a white wolf. Soon, you learn that the wolf you have met is one of the spirits. Upon returning home, the prince found out and sent you to the prison island. This is where you spend the next three years learning to be a ranger and plan your escape. That is just the beginning of this project.

 

This project's design process showcases various features, which include setting up information to customize the player’s name. By chance, I learned to organize variables, create the character Base Movement, and set up controls for the character. In designing the game, I took up the knowledge of setting up stats for the player, having items to be picked up, and changing a skeletal mesh to a static mesh item. This allows the player to interact with items by picking them up and making an inventory menu. It is a comprehensive look at various aspects of game development and customization.

 

We are currently in the process of creating Epic Quest. The project is undergoing some more add-ons, which happened to be that there will be a feature in the game that will allow you to visit NPCs to view their shops and take up some side quest or the main story quest. The system itself will be about managing the player menu and allowing you to equip weapons and armor. This will add to the game frame and provide more of an immersive and streamlined game for players to experience.

 

This project allowed me to learn new skills that helped expand my game knowledge. I learned more about creating a widget and how to keep all elements input into the widget on the screen. Convert skeletal mesh to a static mesh so the player can pick up the item. While also being able to gain more knowledge in creating the inventory menu. I am proud of the skills and knowledge I gained from this project and will be eager to share it with others. I also hope this will be just one of many games I have created.

 

Also, to add to my project showcase, I'm including a 2D design of my best drawings. All my work is my current and best creation. It's done on a computer with digital graphics, from the sketches to the color. Every tint and highlight is done with delicate touches. I hope that my unique and visually stunning collection of artworks will add more to the design of the game.
